Inside the Minds of Our Creative Leads: Bold Ideas for Sole DXB

Ahead of the busy events season, our creative leads at MCH Global imagined a set of bold, unexpected ideas — designed to spark new ways of thinking about culture, experience, and what’s possible at Sole DXB.

From a phone-free rave, to a late-night speakeasy inspired by Gulf hospitality, to a quiet sanctuary that celebrates the beauty of print culture — each concept challenges the norms of festival experiences and opens up space for something more intentional, immersive, and culturally grounded.

Idea #1 The No-Phone Party

A throwback rave where your phone goes into a pouch at the door. No selfies. No scrolling. No algorithms. Just music, movement, and real human energy. Step inside and leave the digital world behind—this is where raw sound meets real connection. A disposable cam wall lets you capture the night without previews or edits—just one shot, one moment, and no pressure to post. As we drown in a sea of content and AI-generated perfection, audiences are seeking something honest, unfiltered, and alive. This is a dancefloor for presence, not performance. No content, just connection. Party like you mean it.

Idea #2 Majlis After Dark

A late-night, alcohol-free speakeasy tucked behind the noise, where low-lit majlis lounges invite you to slow down. Expect crafted mocktails with local flavors, ambient soundscapes blending oud and lo-fi beats, and an open mic for poets, storytellers, and comedians. Not everyone wants to party hard — but everyone wants to belong. In a culture rooted in hospitality, rhythm, and reflection, this is a space for presence. At a festival built on identity and creative expression, Majlis After Dark introduces a new frequency: inclusive, rooted in Gulf tradition, and refreshingly unexpected.

Idea #3 The Bindery

A hidden library dedicated to the art of print. Think CASA Magazines in NYC or 0fr in Paris, not just shops, but living cultural hubs. This is a sanctuary tucked away from the festival’s noise, celebrating the tactile pleasure of paper and ink. Expect a meticulously curated timeline of fashion, design, and street culture, blending rare vintage issues with the most modern, boundary-pushing new editions. It’s a space for genuine discovery, where people are invited to sit, read, and connect with the stories that shaped our world, beyond the algorithm.
