Introducing Decoded: MCH Global’s New Home for Youth Culture

We’re launching Decoded, our dedicated youth culture and experiential insights arm built to help brands actually connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha, not just talk at them.

Most trend reports are outdated the moment they land in a shared drive. Decoded is different. It’s a standing line into what young people are actually doing, wearing, watching and buying, before it shows up in a briefing deck six months too late.

This is the same community-first thinking and creative bravery we bring to every MCH Global project, now sharpened into a specialised offering for brands who want to move at the speed of culture rather than catch up to it.

Gen Z (born 1995 to 2009) and Gen Alpha (born 2010 to 2025) now make up close to a third of the world’s population. In the Middle East, they are the fastest-growing spenders, shaping decisions across tech, fashion, travel and F&B before most brands have finished their quarterly planning cycle. And yet, brands keep missing the mark. MCH Global points to the usual suspects: campaigns built on global stereotypes instead of local nuance, an over-reliance on one-off influencer drops instead of an actual youth strategy, limited access to real young voices beyond ‘employees’ kids’, and internal approval processes that move at a pace youth culture has already left behind.

The audience is also, notoriously, the hardest to win over through traditional media and generic campaigns, even as they want the new constantly, and they want it now. MCH Global’s argument: you cannot embed a brand in Gen Z and Gen Alpha culture with a single campaign moment. You have to actually be in it, on a loop.

That is the gap Decoded is built to close. Instead of research alone, it combines cultural translation, trend foresight, youth co-creation and experiential execution into one practice, built on real participation rather than a desk-research deck nobody reads past the executive summary. The agency is positioning it as a system, not a report: proof, direction and cultural meaning, delivered together.

“Youth culture cannot be nailed through slangy buzzwords of the month. Decoded exists because brands need more than a trend report; they need proof, direction and a way to activate it, built with young people rather than guessed at from the outside,” says Yara Alem, Strategist and in-house Gen Z expert at MCH Global.

The practice runs on three offerings.

– International Youth Intelligence is an always-on read of youth culture grounded in lived experience, not whatever is trending on TikTok that week.
– Experiential Concepts turns cultural insight into activation-ready ideas across events, festivals, pop-ups and branded experiences.
– Category-specific Ideas apply that same thinking to individual sectors, F&B and luxury among them, through long-term platforms instead of one-off campaigns that fade by the next cycle.

The offerings are anchored by two services: The Decoded Annual White-paper and The Next//Now Exchange.

A Youth Intelligence Spotlight delivered annually or bi-annually, The Decoded Annual White-paper surfaces the signals that actually matter, from digital behaviour shifts to regional creators, venues and events worth watching, delivered as an internal presentation with an optional category-specific appendix.

While The Next//Now Exchange, which will run biannually, puts clients directly in a room with a network of Gen Z and Gen Alpha voices through workshops and panels, a genuine reality check rather than another research deck to skim once and shelve.

Youth culture has become one of the most valuable strategic indicators of future consumer behaviour. By productising our understanding of emerging movements, creators, and communities, we can transform cultural intelligence into a competitive advantage for both our agency and our clients. That is what Decoded is built to do: shorten the distance between a brand and the younger audiences it is trying to reach,” said Saheba Sodhi, Global Head of Strategy and XP, MCH Global.

Decoded is run by a young, diverse team spanning strategy, art direction, content and project management, a deliberate call given the practice’s for-youth-by-youth positioning. It builds on MCH Global’s experiential credentials and culture.

Brands will be able to work with Decoded through a retainer partnership, which includes one annual Spotlight, one Exchange Session, quarterly check-ins and priority access to the team, or on a project basis through a standalone Spotlight report, Exchange Session, or custom 60- to 90-minute workshop tied to a specific brief.
