Across Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Basel in Basel, we designed and delivered the Qatar Creates Lounge in continued collaboration with QC+, Qatar Sports Investment, and Qatar Airways, bringing together collectors, galleries, artists, and cultural leaders from around the world on two of the art world’s most prestigious stages.
Hong Kong: A Space Built on Narrative
At Art Basel Hong Kong, one of the most dynamic platforms for art, culture, and conversation, we set out to design a space that did more than host. It needed to hold space for dialogue.
The result drew on limestone textures, dune-soft curves, mineral tones, and organic forms, translating a distinctly contemporary Arab sensibility into a physical environment. QC+, QSI, and Qatar Airways came together within one harmonious journey, giving visitors from across the globe a genuinely immersive encounter with Qatar’s cultural vision.
It was destination marketing meeting elevated hospitality, and a signal of what was still to come in Basel.
Basel: The Qatar Creates Lounge Returns
The collaboration continued at Art Basel in Basel, where the Qatar Creates Lounge made its return, once again welcoming collectors, galleries, artists, and cultural leaders to experience Qatar’s evolving creative ecosystem.
This edition brought a series of standout moments:
- A meet-and-greet with incoming Art Basel Qatar Artistic Director Wassan Al-Khudhairi
- The unveiling of a limited-edition collection by Spanish artist Edgar Plans, created to celebrate Paris Saint-Germain’s historic UEFA Champions League triumph
- A reception for Art Basel’s Discovery Program, bringing together international lifestyle collectors for a more intimate encounter with the fair
A Collaboration That Keeps Growing
From Hong Kong to Basel, the Qatar Creates Lounge has become a recurring cultural touchpoint, one that keeps evolving in form while staying true to its purpose: giving Qatar’s creative ecosystem a compelling, considered presence on the global art stage.
